Selfie Stock Photo App
Art Sims, of 1124 Design, commissioned me to bring his idea to life. I designed an app focused on selling cell phone based photographs used for vast amount of deliveries, i.e stock images. Though this genre of photography has a plethora of platforms, my goal was to make the app look different from the rest. Most stock photo platforms have mute personalities and lack a trademark look to them.
With that in mind, I looked at utilizing curves, soft corners, and an inviting color palette. Though this is a revenue based app, I didn’t want novice photographers to feel intimidated about posting their work. I also wanted the app’s aesthetic to feel not only youthful, but also universal.

Spot App
Living in Los Angeles means being surrounded by abandoned dogs. This is often the result of believing one is ready to take on the task of introducing a dog into your life. When in reality not enough information is provided regarding the dog in order to facilitate the process. My junior year of college, I created an app called Spot. Its intent is to match people and dogs based on an algorithm curated towards experience level and both of your needs in the long run.
My senior year project was oriented towards uniting dogs, specifically rescues, and people. Rescue dogs tend to hold immense amounts of empathy. This app encourages people to see the light in rescuing; that though it may be a handful initially, it truly pays off.

Misanthropic Airways
In correlation with my airline identity, Misanthropic Airways, this site mockup serves as potential towards a traditional ticketing site with dark undertones and accessible information towards the company’s trademark features.

Baked Doodles
This website is a curation of artists’ work from Otis College. I asked my peers to draw a donut for me with no other context. Once I received the drawings, I categorized them into a variety of genres. The user could either look at the drawings via a list of suggested tags or search for a specific genre. This demonstrates the variety each artist holds within their style as well as what people interpret from a minimal direction prompt.

Bunny Museum Redesign
If you haven’t been to the Bunny Museum in Altadena, California, you’re missing out. It is a vast, eerie collection of all things bunny memorabilia that’s grown over the course of 25 years. Their site lacked pleasing aesthetics and practicality. The main challenge was how I was going to maintain their mysterious undertones as well as creating a site that would not push the user away. Thus I stuck with a similar color palette while experimenting with hierarchy within typography.

Dogs Without Borders Redesign
Dedicated to rescuing stray and abandoned dogs from local shelters and as far away as Taiwan and Mexico, Dogs Without Borders is a rescue based in Los Angeles. Their website is based on a template, so I was challenged with establishing a style as well as a system for the organization’s site. Users with different intentions (such as looking to adopt, foster, or volunteer) must be able to easily reach their desired page while potentially exploring other pages through curiosity. However, the primary challenge was adding a gamification aspect to it. I accomplished this through a level-up system fueled by how many times the user has adopted, fostered, and/or volunteered to encourage the user to continue their life-saving actions.
